Woe

In June of 2002, I went on a very special family trip. I have 4 kids and we covered 2,800 miles in 2 weeks by minivan with a 10 month old baby that
was teething.. When we left our home in Minnesota, she had 4 teeth. By the
time we got back home 2 weeks later, she had 7!!
This trip was unlike any others that I'd been on because it was the first
time I'd gottten to meet online friends on a family trip.. I actually hooked up with 3 different
online lowcarbing friends.. My friend sheila in arkansas, I've known 4 years from another forum that
noone here would know. I met briefly with cheri on the homeward swing, and I got to meet Karen and her daughter. :D
I had known Karen for about a year at this point from the LCF chatroom.
We managed to swing down to Ft Worth, TX on this trip to meet up with our former neighbors who had moved down here to become missionaries.
So we met the neighbors one day and Karen, the next.
Karen was our tour guide for the day. :)
We hung around "cowtown" . First we rode the tarrantula train

Next, our tour guide showed us the local ice cream shop.
This place had chairs with saddles on them. I got a beer or 2 there, but
neglected to buy one for the tour guide
We later went out to dinner at Joe T. Garcia's, a favorite place of the locals. It was a little too warm to dine outside and listen to the mariachis..
Then we said our goodbyes and I got this souvenier
pic of the occasion...

We also got to meet one of my wife's penpals, and my friend from arkansas
bought us a bottle of wine that my wife and I used to celebrate our 12th
wedding anniversary in Branson, Missouri...
This is my wife and I earlier on our anniversary in front of a Catholic church
in Eurika springs:

It was the funnest family trip I'd ever been on... :)
